Jersey Boys is a documentary-style musical based on the lives of
one of the most successful '60s rock 'n roll groups, the Four Seasons. It made its Broadway
debut on November 6, 2005 at the August Wilson Theatre. The show, directed by Des Mcanuff,
artistic director at La Jolla Playhouse, uses many of the group's hit songs to tell the
turbulent story of Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons' rise to fame. Part concert, part jukebox
musical, Jersey Boys raked in over $400,000 at the box office the day after it opened. Jersey
Boys won four 2006 Tony Awards, including one for Best Musical. |

Enhanced by Disney songs like "Circle of Life," the plot takes
place in the Pride Lands of Africa. When the curtain rises, Rafiki the mandrill helps King
Mufasa and Queen Sarabi present their son, Simba the baby lion. Everyone at Pride Rock is happy
about the heir to the throne except for Scar, Mufasa's brother. Plotting to rule the kingdom,
Uncle Scar chases Simba away from home. In the jungle, Timon the meerkat and Pumbaa the warthog
invite the cub to join their carefree "Hakuna Matata" life. Will he ever see Nala, his childhood
friend, again? Mixing live actors and puppets, this family show will entertain both kids and
adults. |

the 2002 movie starring Tobey McGuire and Kirsten Dunst. Act I is the story of how an ordinary
boy, Peter Parker, became extraordinary after developing spider-like superpowers and
transforming himself into the superhero Spider-Man to protect the innocent from evil. Act II
focuses on Peter’s internal struggle of how to balance his superhero life with his normal life
while Spider-Man is needed across the city to stop the Green Goblin from genetically altering
humans to create villains |
