The Astana Ballet Theater is one of the leading performance companies of the Republic of Kazakhstan. The primary aim of the theater is to develop the art of Kazakh ballet and create national works that include bold ideas and new forms. The theater has its own original artistic signature and unique repertoire. The Astana Ballet Theater tours actively, in Kazakhstan and abroad, where it has visited Moscow, St. Petersburg, Paris, Vienna, Budapest, and Seoul. The theater was also twice invited to perform at the international "Stars of the White Nights" festival in St. Petersburg.

The Government of Kazakhstan and DCINY are proud to offer free admission to this program on a first come, first served basis. Admission lines form one hour prior to the program. At that time one ticket is provided per person. Tickets are not available for advance reservation and saving seats is not permitted. General admission seating. The 1st production in over 70 years, don’t miss this fully-restored charming Golden Age operetta complete with a marvelous score by music virtuoso Joseph Rumshinsky and performed by a cast of more than 20 accompanied by a 14-piece orchestra.

A beautiful young woman named Goldele, who was abandoned as a child, receives an unexpected inheritance and sets off on a journey across the seas to claim her estate, find her mother and offer her hand to the man who can help.

KEIGWIN + COMPANY takes the Joyce stage with a program that captures why Artistic Director Larry Keigwin’s electrifying work has been called “intricate, neat, rapturous” (The New York Times). Keigwin shares his first solo in a decade with Subject to Change, while K+C’s powerhouse dancers perform Waterfront (2014) and Sidewalk (2009). Keigwin’s curatorial prowess with the premieres of K+C’s first commissioned works by rising choreographers, Loni Landon and Adam Barruch.
