Hotel Description:
The landmark Doubletree Metropolitan Hotel in Midtown Manhattan puts guests within easy walking distance from many major attractions synonymous with New York City and the world's best shopping along Fifth Avenue. Opened in 1961, this hotel originally called The Summit was the talk of the town for its ideal location and tropical deco look. In 2004, the Doubletree Metropolitan completed a $30 million renovation, which brought new rooms, lobby, meeting space, restaurant and bar to the Manhattan hotel.
