Hotel Description:
Located in Manhattan's fashionable Upper East Side, the Mark in New York City offers prestigious and luxurious accommodations in a distinctive 1926 Art Deco building. Situated on a quiet, leafy street lined with handsome Gilded Age townhouses and mansions, the Mark is favored by executives who appreciate the Upper East Side location and celebrities seeking discretion and privacy. The hotel is steps away from the Metropolitan Museum of Art, the Guggenheim Museum and a variety of designer boutiques.

A member of the prestigious Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group, the 16 story Mark offers 119 guestrooms and 57 suites. Beds are dressed in down duvets, Frette Italian linens and triple sheeting. Original 18th century Piranesi architectural prints and marble accents reflect the hotel's neoclassical English Italian style. Spacious bathrooms include separate bathtubs and showers and Molton Brown toiletries. All guestrooms have high speed Internet access, four phones, fax machines, complimentary newspapers, umbrellas and twice daily housekeeping service.

The hotel features Mark's Restaurant and Mark's Bar, both critically acclaimed and popular with hotel guests and discerning Upper East Side residents. Mark's Restaurant is an intimate room reminiscent of a London private dining club, and features French and American cuisine along with an extensive wine list. Afternoon tea service, hosted by the celebrated Tea Master Ringo Lo, is a Mark tradition. Situated adjacent to the mirrored and marbled lobby, Mark's Bar is a popular English club like venue that has been called "a bit of London" and offers cocktails, wine and lighter fare.

A black marble spiral staircase leads from the lobby to the second floor, where guests will find the glass roofed Greenhouse and other meeting and banquet rooms for up to 300 guests. The hotel also offers complimentary weekday shuttle service to Wall Street.

How do I make a smart choice for booking?
We recommend booking with a Discounter* directly in New York City. Seasonal rates and availability come into play as well as payment options but for most we found that this is the best way to get a great rate on the top rooms in NYC. The discounter we have chosen to work with offers a Hotel Price Guarantee.

*Hotel Discounters:
Buy large blocks of rooms at a discount and then resell them to the public and other agents. We are using the Hotels.com and Travel Now program since it is one of the largest and offers a price guarantee on many of the hotels. There are many other reputable discounters available that offer similar savings: Orbitz, Travelocity, Expedia, Travel Now etc...
