Hotel Description:
The Habitat Hotel, located in the middle of Manhattan, caters to travelers on a budget. The hotel is located between upscale Park and Lexington avenues and close to Bloomingdale's, Broadway's theaters, Central Park, the Museum of Modern Art, St. Patrick's Cathedral and other major attractions. Subways two blocks away can whisk guests to Museum Mile, Greenwich Village, SoHo and Chinatown.
The Habitat's lobby is an ultra modern space with curvy black and red seating. Guests will delight in Mediterranean fare at the hotel's hip Opia, with its red walls and purple velvet seats. After dinner, they can socialize in the sofa filled bar. Habitat services also include concierges, ATM and Internet kiosk.
The Habitat's guestrooms range from singles and doubles with shared or private baths to rooms with queen sized beds or suites and studios. They all include phones with data ports, and other amenities. Some rooms can accommodate up to four guests with bunk beds.
While the immediate neighborhood is upscale, the Habitat's prices are not, making this Manhattan hotel the perfect choice for people who'd rather spend money on things truly New York rather than on lodging.
