Hotel Description:
Located in midtown Manhattan, one block from Grand Central Station and the New York Public Library, the Dylan Hotel provides elegant accommodations in a beautifully restored Beaux Arts style building. This 1903 landmark was once the home of the Chemists Club, an organization from 1898 for people who worked and studied in the chemical profession. The club still exists today and has broadened its membership to all who share an interest in the sciences. The Dylan Hotel is a short walk to Park Avenue, shopping on Fifth Avenue, Bryant Park and the Fashion district.

The Dylan is a place for discerning travelers who appreciate classic style and craftsmanship. All of the building's priceless architectural details, including its ornate decorative plaster, marble grand staircase and six foot stone fireplace, were restored to their original grandeur. The 16 story Dylan hotel offers 107 guestrooms and suites, each with 11 foot ceilings, which offer a feeling of spaciousness not usually found in a New York City hotel. "Residential" number plaques and lamps give a sense of arrival to each room.

The tailored guestroom décor includes warm white and pale blue walls, deep amethyst and steel blue carpeting, sapphire taffeta drapes and sheers and custom, ebony stained furnishings. Bathrooms feature Carrara marble and Italian porcelain bowl style sinks mounted on multi colored granite slabs. All accommodations have oversize work desks, high speed Internet access, 27 inch Sony televisions, multi line phones with voicemail and in room safes. Other amenities include Egyptian cotton sheets, minibars and bathrobes and slippers. Nearly all the guestrooms are smoke free.

The Dylan is home to the Chemists Club Bar and Grill, which recalls the style and feel of a classic American grill from the 1920s, the Chemists Club Grill features an extensive variety of sizzling steaks and colorful New American cuisine.

How do I make a smart choice for booking?
We recommend booking with a Discounter* directly in New York City. Seasonal rates and availability come into play as well as payment options but for most we found that this is the best way to get a great rate on the top rooms in NYC. The discounter we have chosen to work with offers a Hotel Price Guarantee.

*Hotel Discounters:
Buy large blocks of rooms at a discount and then resell them to the public and other agents. We are using the Hotels.com and Travel Now program since it is one of the largest and offers a price guarantee on many of the hotels. There are many other reputable discounters available that offer similar savings: Orbitz, Travelocity, Expedia, Travel Now etc...
