Attending the 100th Millrose Games will make you part of history as you witness the oldest invitational indoor track-and-field meet in America on the occasion of its centennial celebration. The greatest track-and-field athletes ever known - among them Jesse Owens, Wilma Rudolph, Bob Seagren, Wyomia Tyus, Miruts Yifter, Sergey Bubka, Mary Decker Slaney and Carl Lewis - have competed here, as do the icons of today and tomorrow.

The 100th Millrose Games, the second stop in USA Track & Field's Visa Championship Series, will be held Feb. 2 at Madison Square Garden beginning at 5:45 p.m. For tickets or more information, visit www.Millrose-Games.com. Runners in the Empire State Building Run Up take 1,576 steps up to the 86th floor. The event can attract world class athletes. And, there have been entrants in their 90s who have participated.**

The runners are broken up into heats to keep the stairways from getting too crowded.

The race is measured by the time from contestants' feet cross over the starting mat to when their feet cross the finish line.

Home to the largest Chinese community in the country, New York's Chinatown also hosts one of the best-known Chinese New Year celebrations. Marking the Year of the Dog in the Chinese lunar calendar, the 2007 parade promises the usual festive lion dances, as well as unicorn dances, floats and other cultural performances. The parade date and exact route is yet to be determined, but it will proceed through Chinatown.
