From the bold sounds of the pipes and drums, and the harmonious blending of brass, strings and percussion, to the poetic and lyrical words that complement them, all filling beautiful Madison Avenue Presbyterian Church, the Pipes of Christmas is a festival for the soul. The concert will feature the music of Christmas accompanied by a selection of readings taken from the Celtic literature of Scotland, Ireland, and Wales, and Scripture.

Featured performers include Metropolitan Opera baritone Mark Delavan, Country Dance trio - Local Hero, the Solid Brass ensemble, and the Kevin Ray Blandford Memorial Pipe Band of Redlands, CA. The Gala Premiere is produced by the Clan Currie Society - one of the largest Scottish heritage organizations in the world. Proceeds from the NY Gala Premiere benefit the Society's scholarship program established to preserve and promote Celtic culture and the arts. Tickets may be purchased by mail by sending payment to the Clan Currie Society, P.O. Box 541, Summit, NJ 07902-0541.
